The Denver Broncos have agreed to to sign wide receiver Josh Reynolds, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL media.

It’s a two-year deal worth up to $14 million.

Reynolds is coming off of a solid 2023 campaign with the Detroit Lions in which he played every game and hauled in 40 receptions for 608 yards and five touchdowns, demonstrating some impressive big-play ability.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M, was originally selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He had a very uneventful rookie campaign, logging just 11 catches for 109 yards and a score. The following year, Reynolds’ role grew, as he caught 29 passes for 402 yards while reaching the end zone five times. His production then stagnated in 2019, with Reynolds totaling 21 grabs for 326 yards and a touchdown.

The San Antonio native proceeded to enjoy a breakout year of sorts in 2020, snaring 52 balls for 618 yards and a couple of scores.

That ensuing offseason, Reynolds signed with the Tennessee Titans, where he lasted half a season before being waived. The Lions picked him up midway through 2022, and in 14 contests between Detroit and Tennessee that year, he accumulated 38 receptions for 479 yards and three touchdowns.

Reynolds will slide in as the No. 2 wide out behind Courtland Sutton in Denver after the Broncos traded Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns earlier this offseason.

While Reynolds is certainly not a top-flight receiver, he has good size at 6-foot-3 and good enough hands to represent a good red-zone target.

Of course, Denver needs to get its quarterback situation sorted out before it can truly begin imagining how productive Reynolds will be in 2024.
