Getting the most out of Wentz

If Wentz is a true competitor, this selection will do nothing but motivate him to be better than he’s ever been in 2020.

It’s a clear indictment on Wentz and how the organization views his health and long-term ability. If they had complete faith in Wentz to continue playing at a high level and to stay healthy, Howie Roseman wouldn’t have selected Hurts. It’s as simple as that.

Hurts is someone who can push Wentz in practice as well. Hurts is a team player and great leader, but he’s also a competitor at the end of the day. If he brings is A-game to camp, Wentz will have no choice but to raise his level of play.

It should be exciting watching these two compete against each other in camp, even if they aren’t in an actual quarterback competition for the starting job.
