Eli Manning Makes Hilarious Joke About Tom Brady Roast

The legacies of Eli Manning and Tom Brady will forever be connected.

Manning became the first quarterback to ever beat Brady in a Super Bowl, when he led the New York Giants to a colossal upset of Brady and the previously undefeated New England Patriots in February 2008.

Manning then one-upped himself four years later, once again guiding the Giants to a Super Bowl win over Brady’s Patriots in February 2012.

So when Netflix aired a three-hour special called The Roast of Tom Brady on Sunday night, many expected Manning to be in attendance.

However, he wasn’t, and he gave a hilarious reason as to why he didn’t show up.

Truly an incredible post by Manning, and right on brand, too.

Manning, who played his collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, was originally selected by the San Diego Chargers with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft, but was famously traded to the Giants.

He went on to establish himself as the greatest quarterback in the history of New York, winning a pair of Super Bowl MVPs in his two championship runs.

Manning will likely be in the Hall of Fame one day, and his victories over Brady in the Super Bowl may represent the two biggest reasons why.

While Manning certainly posted solid numbers throughout his NFL career, his penchant for making big plays in huge moments is definitely his trademark.

Who could forget his throw to David Tyree in Big Blue’s first Super Bowl win over New England, over his picture-perfect laser to Mario Manningham along the sideline in the second triumph?

But perhaps Eli Manning’s biggest win over Brady with this tweet.

I bet Tom Brady didn’t find it very funny.
