When considering the Colts will also be involving Nyheim Hines in the backfield, but the majority of involvement will go to Jonathan Taylor. It won’t be long for the second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to produce the level of results Indianapolis felt he was capable of achieving.

According to Fantasy Pros, Taylor is projected to produce 13.1 fantasy points this week. That output slots him in at No. 9 in the running back rankings despite having a two-star matchup rating.

A matchup with the Vikings’ defense will not be an easy one for Taylor. The hope for his production is the Colts’ offensive line manages to bounce back from an underwhelming Week 1. If he can get favorable running lanes, expect big results.

The Colts’ offense is built on the idea that a strong running game can set the tone to help set up the pass. With Philip Rivers at quarterback, Indianapolis will pull no punches taking shots downfield, particularly in play-action situtations.

There was clear failure from the Colts’ to establish their identity in Week 1 considering the team’s running struggles. It will be important that Jonathan Taylor can turn that around against the Vikings, and all signs point to him being capable of achieving this.
