Fantasy Football: Why Jared Goff is currently undervalued in drafts

It’s safe to say that Jared Goff fell short of living up to expectations in fantasy football in 2019, failing to repeat his success from the 2018 season. On the other hand, for the first time under Sean McVay, Goff and the Los Angeles Rams were unable to advance to the postseason.

Heading into the 2019 season, Goff was a popular choice among fantasy football pundits. Coming off of a brilliant outing in 2019, everyone was hoping for another productive showing from the former No. 1 pick. After all, he did make massive strides in his game in his first two seasons working with McVay.

However, contrary to popular belief, Goff was extremely inconsistent throughout the 2019 campaign. The California native would finish with 4,638 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions despite attempting a career-high 626 passes. Even he would tell you that he didn’t perform well enough for the vast majority of the season.

Nevertheless, 2020 is a new season and Goff is prepared to bounce back in a big way for the Rams. When it comes to fantasy football, everyone has seemingly given up on Goff, passing on him on nearly every chance they get. But are they making the right move? Given the circumstances, let’s take a further look as to why Goff is currently being undervalued in fantasy football drafts in 2020.
