Former Alabama wide receiver Malik Benson is set to make a move to the ACC, as it was officially announced on Monday that he will be transferring to the Florida State Seminoles.

Benson, who was regarded as the top Junior College (JUCO) player, made the transition to the Crimson Tide this past season. While he did manage to secure a starting position on the offensive roster, his level of productivity remained relatively modest.

Over the course of 14 games, Benson caught a total of 13 passes, amassing 162 yards and scoring one touchdown, which occurred during a game against Chattanooga in November. Notably, he did not record any catches during either the SEC Championship or the College Football Playoff.

Notably, Benson is the second former Alabama player to choose Florida State as his new destination, following the recent decision of defensive back Earl Little to join the Seminoles.

One of Benson’s standout attributes is his exceptional speed, which may be a valuable asset for Florida State’s offense.

His potential for increased productivity could be realized as he becomes a part of the Florida State offensive unit, which has also gained the talents of former Oregon State and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. This combination of talent and speed could prove to be a formidable addition to the Seminoles’ offensive arsenal.
