1. B.J. Hill
Hill’s role really went down when the Giants acquired Leonard Williams from the New York Jets. Either one of these players could have landed in this spot but the Giants could opt to keep Williams long term. This leaves Hill without a job along the defensive line.
Hill had a strong rookie season. He played 15 games in 2018 and finished with 48 tackles and 5.5 sacks. Those numbers dropped drastically in 2019 when he finished with 36 tackles and just one sack in 16 games played.
The Giants have a new coaching staff in charge and they could choose to add Hill in a trade if they feel they could get something for him.
This seems like an instance where Hill has no duty along the defensive line. Dexter Lawrence will be on the opposite side of Williams while Dalvin Tomlinson will man the nose tackle position in the Giants 3-4 defense.
