3. Kevin Zeitler

Kevin Zeitler is a guard that spent the first five years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals before landing in Cleveland for two years. He spent 2019 with the Giants and he was a solid guard along a poor offensive line. The Giants need good players but they have some young, cheaper options.

The Giants drafted Andrew Thomas who will be slated at left tackle in 2020. Will Hernandez has the makings of a future star on the opposite side of Zeitler. New York also drafted Shane Lemieux. He is an option at center but it is likely that he will end up playing more guard.

Zeitler signed a five-year, $60 million deal with the Browns. Because of this, he will carry a $12.5 million cap hit in 2020 and a $14.5 million hit in 2021.

Zeitler is an expensive player for a rebuilding team. The Giants could opt for their younger options and spend money elsewhere. If this happens, Zeitler’s days could be numbered in New York.
