3. Washington Football Team

Washington had one of the worst offenses in football in 2019. They already lost one of their promising young receivers, Kelvin Harmon, to a torn ACL. This leaves that unit about as thin as could be. Terry McLaurin looked like a No. 1 during his rookie season. Steven Sims is a speedy receiver in the slot. Antonio Gandy-Golden and Antonio Gibson are rookies who will both play a big role in the offense.

Josh Gordon could be another weapon for Dwayne Haskins. He has been linked to Washington and there is one big reason. Ron Rivera added Scott turner to his staff as offensive coordinator for the upcoming season.

Turner was the wide receivers’ coach for the Browns in 2013. This is the year that Gordon broke out and led the league in receiving. Following the 2013 season, Turner left Cleveland and took the quarterbacks’ coach position with the Minnesota Vikings.

This is a relationship that was strong during their one season together. Washington should be kicking the tire on adding a strong veteran receiver. Gordon could be that receiver and with the current state of the receiving room in D.C., he will get plenty of time.
