The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-1 on the season and are coming off of a blowout win over the Chicago Bears last Sunday. However, there is no denying that something does not seem quite right with the club.
Over the first two weeks of 2023, the Chiefs amassed a grand total of 37 points, which is not something we are accustomed to seeing from the usually high-powered offense.
Yes, Kansas City appeared to right the ship by dropping a 41-spot on the Bears, but Chicago probably isn’t a good barometer.
It seems pretty clear that the Chiefs are in need of another wide receiver.
Could Rondale Moore be the answer?
The Arizona Cardinals appear to be going nowhere fast, meaning that they could be sellers come the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline. While Moore is just 23 years old and still has another year left on his deal, he hasn’t been very productive in Arizona. Plus, the Cardinals may be blowing it up this offseason, so they may want to move Moore now.
Kansas City could offer Arizona a 2024 third-round draft pick and a seventh-rounder in exchange for Moore, which would be a solid return for a guy who is yet to total 500 receiving yards in a single season.
Moore is just 5-foot-7, but he has blinding speed and brings versatility to the table. He has logged eight catches for 55 yards this season while also carrying the ball five times for 66 yards and a touchdown. That certainly sounds like something Andy Reid could work with.
No, Moore is not a No. 1 receiver, but Patrick Mahomes could probably make him look an awful lot better than the Cardinals can.
Now in his third season out of Purdue, Rondale Moore has posted 103 receptions for 904 yards and two scores across 25 games in the NFL.
