Amidst the flurry of free agent signings and with the 2024 NFL Draft looming closer, there emerges a beacon of hope for the Minnesota Vikings.

This week, a positive development surfaced regarding a player whose condition could significantly impact the Vikings’ upcoming season.

Tight end TJ Hockenson, who underwent surgery to mend his torn ACL, has returned to the weight room, as revealed in a recent post on his Instagram account.

The post showcases Hockenson engaging in squats, albeit briefly. While this snippet may not fully reflect his progress, it undeniably signals a positive step forward.

Hockenson endured a severe setback in Week 16 of the previous season, suffering both a torn ACL and PCL. He opted to delay ACL surgery until his PCL had sufficiently healed and the swelling subsided.

Typically, the rehabilitation timeline for such injuries spans around nine months, potentially jeopardizing Hockenson’s availability for the early stages of the 2024 regular season. If he were to commence the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List, he would be sidelined for a minimum of four games.

Fortunately, TJ Hockenson has reached a stage in his recovery where he can resume physical workouts. With optimism abound, fans eagerly anticipate further updates as the Minnesota Vikings’ offseason program approaches and Training Camp looms on the horizon this July.
