New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues to make unprecedented progress in his recovery from the torn Achilles he suffered back in Week 1.

During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Rodgers revealed that he is now jogging and is eyeing a return to practice in two weeks.

“I’ve said that I’d love to be trending towards practicing by my birthday,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers’ 40th birthday is on Dec. 2. He said he is jogging on an Alter G treadmill and even sent video of himself doing so to the Jets’ front office.

“Yeah, I like to keep in touch with the guys and let them know what my progress is,” he said. “I just sent a couple of the boys a video of me on the treadmill. They’re interested in my rehab and where I’m at.”

While Rodgers added that he needs to ensure his calf his stable, he said he has made remarkable improvements.

“Obviously we’re way ahead of common protocol,” he said. “The jogging, I think, has exponentially improved the strength, and then it’s kind of sped up [the rehab]. … Things have progressed pretty nicely these last few weeks.”

But could the Jets’ recent struggles dissuade Rodgers from attempting a 2023 comeback?

“No, not at all,” Rodgers said. “I find those two are mutually exclusive. The speed at which I’m doing the rehab has been the same from the beginning — push it as hard as we can every single day.”

New York has lost three straight games to fall to 4-6 as its playoff hopes continue to fade. By the time Rodgers potentially returns, the Jets could be well out of postseason contention.

However, it seems that Rodgers feels that if he is healthy enough to play, he will give it a go.

Gang Green initially acquired Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers last offseason and entered the year with Super Bowl aspirations as a result.

Unfortunately, Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles on New York’s first offensive series of the season.

The Jets will battle the Miami Dolphins on Friday.
