David Njoku to Carolina Panthers

David Njoku has not been the player that the Browns expected. This is why they decided to sign Austin Hooper in free agency and give them a strong pass-catching option at tight end. Njoku is expected to be the backup but after the Browns drafted Harrison Bryant, this could change.

Bryant was a fourth-round pick of Cleveland out of FAU. There is a real possibility that Bryant lands as No. 2 on the depth chart and Cleveland tries to get some return for Njoku. The Carolina Panthers would be a perfect trade partner.

Carolina will go from many years of Greg Olsen to being very thin at the position. Ian Thomas and Chris Manhertz will compete for the job but they are both blocking tight ends. This is where Njoku would come into play.

There are a few teams around the NFL that would be interested in Njoku or any other tight end on the trade market. The Panthers are definitely one team that should take a flier if Njoku is on the market.
