Recently, Maurice Jones-Drew commented that he believes Isiah Pacheco is a player who will skyrocket in the second half of the season for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs are heading into the second half of the season after a big win against the Miami Dolphins in Germany. Once again, the Chiefs look to be one of the top teams in the NFL, and it would be shocking not to see them compete for a Super Bowl once again.

While the Chiefs have been successful this season, the team looks and feels a bit different this year on the offensive side of the ball. The high-powered offense of the Chiefs is a bit different and more balanced.

Recently, Maurice Jones-Drew stated that Chiefs running back, Isiah Pacheco is poised for a big second half of the season. Here’s what MJD had to say.

“Averaging 4.2 yards per carry this season, Pacheco has an angry running style that bodes well for a team that is suddenly not scoring at will and is instead looking to drain the clock in the second half of games,” Jones-Drew wrote on NFL.com on November 8. “He thrived down the stretch as a rookie, gaining 633 rush yards on 126 carries for 5.0 yards per attempt in Weeks 10-18, and I suspect we’ll see him get more opportunities late in 2023 than he did a year ago. Pacheco has the confidence and talent to be yet another offensive star in K.C.”

After a good rookie season, Pacheco is having another solid season for the Chiefs and is one of the reasons why they have been balanced this season. So far this season, Pacheco has totaled 525 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, and is averaging 4.2 yards per carry on the ground.

Pacheco is on pace to go over 1,000 rushing yards this season, which is a very notable accomplishment for a running back.

With the Chiefs looking to continue to play well in the second half of the season, Pacheco will be a key player to watch for the Chiefs. In recent years, the Chiefs haven’t been known for running the ball, but that has certainly changed because of Pacheco.
