NFL Insider Dishes New Info On Aaron Rodgers To Jets Trade

Aaron Rodgers, Jets
NFL Analysis Network

Aaron Rodgers is the topic of conversation with the 2023 NFL Draft under a week ago. For quite some time now, fans of both the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets have expected to hear that a trade has been completed to send the superstar quarterback to New York. Unfortunately, that deal has not come to fruition yet.

With the Packers likely wanting draft capital in this draft, a deal involving Rodgers is expected to get done in the next week. The second day of the draft seems like the last day that the two teams could come to an agreement.

All of that being said, NFL insider Adam Schefter has dished more information on the Rodgers to Jets trade talks.

He stated that the second day of the draft is the “soft deadline” for a Rodgers trade to get done. Both sides would like to get this done, but the Packers would need to get it done then to get a decent pick this year. If the two sides can’t get a deal done, things could drag on for quite some time.

Rodgers has made it clear that his intention is to play for the Jets. Rumors have been swirling that a team like the San Francisco 49ers or Tennessee Titans could make a late run at acquiring Rodgers, but he would have to want to play there.

Even the biggest front office personnel in New York have been open with Jets’ fans that they are bringing Rodgers in. Not getting this deal done now would be a massive disappointment for the Jets.

It seems that the Packers are dug in on their asking price. If things are to get done, New York seems to be the party that will have to come to the table ready to meet the demands. After all, Green Bay does not “have” to trade Rodgers unless they get what they want.

Expect to continue hearing reports and rumors about the Aaron Rodgers to the Jets situation in the coming days. Things should get done soon, so hang on tight fans.
