A potential new NFL landing spot has emerged for former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.
On a recent episode of “Get Up” on ESPN, insider Dan Graziano mentioned the Atlanta Falcons as a possible destination for Belichick.
“It seems like most people that watch these situations closely say Atlanta is the spot to watch for him. I think they have some level of interest [in Belichick]. We’ll see if he has some level of interest in them. Good roster, they’re gonna need a quarterback, but there’ll be options out there.”
The Falcons recently parted ways with Arthur Smith shortly after concluding their regular-season finale. Smith’s tenure in Atlanta saw him achieve a 7-10 record in each of his three seasons at the helm.
It’s not just Graziano who believes the Falcons are interested in Belichick. Another ESPN insider, Adam Schefter, also included the Falcons on his list of teams to keep an eye on regarding Belichick’s potential move.
With both insiders pointing to Atlanta as a likely destination, it appears that the Falcons have a promising chance of securing Belichick’s services.
Bill Belichick would bring a wealth of experience and a track record of success as a head coach to the Falcons. The crucial question, however, remains whether he believes he can work with the current roster to achieve success.
If Belichick is confident in his ability to win with the Falcons’ roster, we might witness a deal coming to fruition in the near future.
