Chris Ballard and the Indianapolis Colts have started off the 2021 NFL free agency period very slow. So far, they have made no moves although many expected them to be very aggressive. Thankfully, there is still plenty of time for moves to be made.

Looking at the current roster, the Colts do not have too many weaknesses. They would like to add some help on the defensive side of the football, including at cornerback. Offensively, they could use a wide receiver or two.

One NFL scout believes that the Colts should go all-out to sign one big-time free agent. That free agent would be wide receiver Will Fuller.

“Will Fuller is exactly the player that the Colts need. He can take the top off of defenses and would be a much better TY Hilton. Carson Wentz needs a reliable deep threat, which is why Indy needs to get aggressive and go after Fuller.”

Fuller would certainly be a big-time addition for the Colts’ offense. Even if they signed him, they could still bring back Hilton. But, Fuller would give their offense a dynamic that they have not had in the last couple of years.

Last season with the Houston Texans, Fuller ended up playing in 11 games. He racked up 53 receptions for 879 yards and eight touchdowns. Those numbers show why the Colts should want him.

While there have been some concerns about his ability to stay on the field, Will Fuller is worth the risk for this Colts team. They are a piece or two away from serious Super Bowl contention. Fuller would help them reach that goal.

A change of scenery would also be good for Fuller. He has played for the Texans his entire career. Houston has not bee a great organization and joining the Colts would give him a much better chance to compete consistently.

Expect to see the Colts look to make some moves in the very near future. Fuller should be one of their top targets.
