In the vast landscape of recruiting sites, navigating through them all can leave you feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about which sources provide reliable insights. Amidst this sea of information, one name stands out as a trusted authority: Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts. Renowned for his expertise in Ohio State Buckeyes football recruiting, Kurelic’s endorsement carries significant weight.

So, when he singles out an under-the-radar prospect worth keeping an eye on, it’s wise to take notice.

According to Kurelic, Ohio State has recently shown interest in Brody Lennon, a talented tight end from Gilmour Academy. Despite not yet being rated by recruiting platforms like 247Sports, Kurelic believes Lennon’s recruitment is poised to soar.

It’s a familiar pattern: when a powerhouse program like Ohio State expresses interest, others often follow suit, elevating the prospect’s status from unranked to highly sought-after.

Lennon himself confirmed to Kurelic that Ohio State’s tight ends coach, Keenan Bailey, has reviewed his tape and expressed approval.

Scheduled to visit the Buckeyes during early March’s spring practice, the 6’4″, 220-pound senior-to-be boasts impressive stats from his previous season, including 32 catches for 750 yards and 13 sacks as a defensive end. While Lennon currently holds offers from schools like Kentucky, Pitt, and Indiana, an offer from Ohio State seems imminent.

At the forefront of the Ohio State Buckeyes’ tight end targets is Nate Roberts, ranked fourth nationally in 247Sports Composite rankings. With two Crystal Ball predictions favoring Ohio State, Roberts remains a priority for the Buckeyes.

However, given the likelihood of roster turnover after the 2024 season, including potential departures via the transfer portal, there’s flexibility in how many tight ends Ohio State may recruit in the current cycle. Should their interest in Lennon continue to grow, there’s little doubt they’ll find a place for him in their plans.

As for Lennon’s own affinity towards Ohio State, it’s unmistakable. Describing himself as a lifelong fan and with familial ties to the university—his father being an Ohio State alum—it’s safe to assume the Buckeyes hold a special place in Lennon’s heart, making them a top contender in his recruitment journey.
