Several recruiting platforms have identified the Miami Hurricanes’ football program as a potential destination for highly sought-after four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, following his recent de-commitment from Ohio State.

Boggs, ranked as the 189th prospect nationally, the 24th wide receiver, and the 27th player in Florida, hails from Cocoa and is part of the 2025 recruiting class. Boggs has already visited Miami on two occasions.

His initial encounter with the Miami program occurred during Junior Day in January 2023, followed by another visit to Coral Gables later that month. It was during these visits that Miami extended an offer to Boggs. The talented receiver showcased his skills during his sophomore season in 2022, amassing 41 receptions for 722 yards and six touchdowns.

However, it was his breakout performance in the 2023 junior season that truly caught the attention of recruiters.

Boggs demonstrated his dominance on the field by recording an impressive 93 receptions for 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2023. Standing at 6’0″ and weighing 198 pounds, according to his 247Sports profile, Boggs has garnered praise from experts such as Andrew Ivins, the Director of Scouting at 247Sports.

“Multi-year Power Five starter upside with a higher floor. Likely to add value on special teams.”

Recruiting analysts including John Garcia of Rivals, Tom Loy of 247Sports, and Zach McKinnell of Athlon Sports have all identified Miami as a program closely involved in Boggs’ recruitment.

Despite the absence of any crystal ball predictions on 247Sports, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently projects Florida as the frontrunner for Boggs, with a 56.8 percent chance of securing his commitment.

In addition to Miami, Boggs has visited Central Florida, Florida, and Florida State. He participated in camps at Florida, Florida State, and his former commitment, Ohio State, in June 2023. Miami appears to be on track to assemble an exceptional wide receiver class for 2025, having already secured commitments from three four-star receivers in the 2024 class.

Among these commitments, Ny Carr and Joshisa Trader have already enrolled in January and are actively participating in spring practice, while Chance Robinson is expected to join later this year. Furthermore, Miami has secured a commitment from four-star wide receiver Waden Charles for the 2025 class.

As it stands, the Miami Hurricanes’ 2025 recruiting class ranks 19th in the 247Sports composite rankings, indicating a promising future for the program.
