Evan Stewart, the highly sought-after wide receiver in the NCAA transfer portal, has made his decision. Stewart, once ranked as the No. 11 overall recruit in the 2022 class, has chosen to commit to the Oregon Ducks.

This announcement came on a Thursday night when he tweeted, “Done deal. #ScoDucks.”

This commitment marks a significant addition to Oregon’s football program. It was a double win for the Ducks on that Thursday, as head coach Dan Lanning also declared his loyalty to Oregon, putting to rest any rumors of him heading to Alabama to replace Nick Saban.

Hailing from Frisco (Texas) Liberty High School, the 6-foot-tall, 175-pound Stewart showcased his skills during his two seasons at Texas A&M. During his time with the Aggies, he accumulated impressive statistics, including 91 receptions for 1,161 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

Stewart’s 2023 season began with a bang, recording back-to-back 100-yard games. He hauled in eight passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns against New Mexico and followed it up with a stellar performance of 11 receptions for 142 yards against Miami (Florida).

As a true freshman in 2022, he also had a couple of standout 100-yard games in SEC play, facing off against formidable opponents like Alabama and Florida.

Stewart’s commitment to Oregon brings excitement, and he still has two years of eligibility left to make an impact with the Ducks.
