The Green Bay Packers have breathed some life into their season over the last few weeks. Their victory over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day was their second in a row and third in the last four games, pushing their record to 5-6 on the season.

Green Bay is right in the middle of the mix for a playoff spot in the NFC and the performance of quarterback Jordan Love is a big reason why. Against the Lions, he completed 22-of-32 pass attempts for 268 yards and three touchdowns without an interception.

It is the fifth time this season Love hasn’t thrown an interception and the Packers are 4-1 in those contests. He has been finding his groove under center, improving in key areas, such as deep ball accuracy, which has helped get the team’s offense on track.

Against the Lions, Love was deadly throwing the deep ball. He completed 4-of-7 of his 15+ air-yard attempts, including a touchdown. He got the game started with a bang, connecting with Christian Watson for a 53-yard completion on the first play from scrimmage.

After completing only 35 percent of such passes in his first seven games this season, Love has pushed that number to 61 percent in the past four games. That has led to an uptick in overall completion percentage as well, as Love was last in the NFL at 58 percent in the first seven games but has completed 65 percent in the last four.

His performance against Detroit was arguably the best of his career to this point. Love set a career-high in total QBR with a 90.6, first-down rate at 41 percent and completion percentage over expected at +7.3 percent according to NFL Next Gen Stats via ESPN.

With his big performance against the Lions, Love has accomplished a few impressive feats. Week 12 was the third three-touchdown performance of his career. He is the only quarterback, along with Aaron Rodgers, to have that many games within the first 15 starts of his career in Packers history.

Love and the Packers face another stiff test in Week 13, as they will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football at Lambeau Field. After that, Green Bay is scheduled to play only one team, the Minnesota Vikings, who currently have a record over the .500 mark.
