Panthers Have An Extremely Versatile Offense

Christian McCaffrey is one of the most versatile running backs in NFL history. If the Carolina Panthers were a more successful team last season, it seems fair to say he would have been a heavy MVP candidate. He is everything the Panthers drafted him to be between being a top-tier receiver and one of the most explosive backs in the game. That type of talent adds an element to the offense they very few teams have.

While McCaffrey is insanely talented, he isn’t the only versatile chess piece on the offense. Curtis Samuel has been trending upward each year he’s been in the league. What is unique about Samuel is his ability to make people miss in open space. Samuel can also be a threat in the run game as well. There is no limit to how the Panthers can use him, and Samuel is just starting to unlock his potential.

With McCaffrey and Samuel getting a majority of the check down and intermediate routes, the Panthers have two players who can stretch the field with D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson. Moore is tremendous after the catch and was quietly one of the best young receivers in the NFL last year.

Anderson is a quality veteran who is a tremendous deep threat and can test the defenses speed. Both Moore and Anderson had Quarterbacks who struggled last year. The addition of Bridgewater should elevate their play.
