The Philadelphia Eagles may have suffered their first defeat of the season in a 20-14 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, but that did not stop wide receiver AJ Brown from tearing it up.

Brown logged seven catches for 131 yards in Week 6, giving him four consecutive games of 125 receiving yards or more. That is the first time a player has accomplished that feat since 2014 (h/t Pro Football Focus). His most productive outing during this recent stretch came during Week 4, when he posted nine receptions for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns in an overtime win over the Washington Commanders.

On the season overall, Brown has totaled 42 grabs for 672 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Only Miami Dolphins wide out Tyreek Hill has more receiving yards thus far in 2023.

Brown, who played his collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, was originally selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign, catching 52 passes for 1,051 yards and eight scores. The following year, Brown made his first trip to the Pro Bowl after snaring 70 balls for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns. He then took a bit of a step back during his final season with the Titans in 2021, finishing with 63 catches for 869 yards while reaching the end zone five times.

That ensuing offseason, Tennessee traded AJ Brown to the Eagles, and since arriving in Philadelphia, Brown has taken his game to another level.

The 26-year-old had a breakout season last year, hauling in 88 receptions for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns en route to his second Pro Bowl appearance. He also helped lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl, where they ultimately fell to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Philadelphia is now 5-1 on the season and will take on the Dolphins next weekend.
