Predicting the 2020 NFL season for Falcons QB Matt Ryan

The Atlanta Falcons suffered through a very disappointing 2019 NFL season, finishing with a 7-9 record. Matt Ryan and company were not happy with that finish. Neither was the front office, who went out and made quite a few moves.

Among those moves was the addition of star running back Todd Gurley. He struggled a bit last season with the Los Angeles Rams and was released. The Falcons didn’t waste time bringing him on board.

If the Falcons want to take a big step forward this season, they will need Ryan to come through with a big season. He is still a more than capable star and he has a ton of weapons. Julio Jones is still arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL and Calvin Ridley is primed for a major leap in 2020.

During the 2019 season with the Falcons, Ryan ended up completing 66.2 percent of his pass attempts for 4,466 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. His numbers show that he is still capable of leading an elite offense.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at what the Falcons and their fans should be expecting from Matt Ryan in 2020.
