What To Expect From Matt Ryan In 2020 With The Falcons

Over the last couple of years, the Falcons have not lived up to their expectations on the offensive side of the football. A team that has a quarterback like Ryan and a wide receiver like Julio Jones should not struggle to score.

Finally, there are no more excuses for the Falcons to make. They have a running back who could change the game in Todd Gurley. A wide receiver duo of Jones and Calvin Ridley should produce at a very high level.

Ryan is also poised for a major bounce-back season. He racked up big numbers in 2019, but they should have been bigger.

ESPN has released their projections for what fans should expect from Ryan. They have him throwing for 4,533 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Not bad at all for the 35-year-old quarterback.

We have similar numbers, but projections that Falcons fans will like even more. Ryan will end up amassing 4,650 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He will put up even bigger numbers with Jones and Ridley tearing opposing defenses apart.

Will the Falcons end up winning the NFC South division? Probably not. However, they could make a push for a Wild Card spot in the playoffs.

Things aren’t going to be easy playing in the same division as the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But, the Falcons have a ton of talent on their roster and an offense that will power the franchise to some wins.

Expect to see Matt Ryan put together one of the best seasons of his NFL career. He has the supporting cast and still has plenty of arm left to be one of the best in the league.
