Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones responded to comments made by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce regarding their Christmas Day matchup. Kelce, during a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, had mentioned that the Chiefs essentially gifted the Raiders the win, describing it as an embarrassing performance.

In contrast, Jones disputed Kelce’s assertion, coming out with a very passionate quote.

“He said they gave us that game? Tell him to go watch that game. We took that game,” as reported by Vegas Sports Today.

Kelce, while addressing the team’s struggles on the podcast, emphasized that the issues were collective and not isolated to individual players. He acknowledged challenges in various aspects, including the run game, passing coordination, and overall accountability within the team.

Week 16 had witnessed the Chiefs’ offensive struggles, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes facing significant pressure. Despite Mahomes completing 27-of-44 pass attempts for 235 yards and a touchdown, he also threw a pick-six, endured four sacks, and had to resort to running the ball 10 times due to a lack of open receivers downfield.

Looking ahead, the Chiefs, as defending Super Bowl champions, have two remaining games in the regular season. On New Year’s Eve in Week 17, they are set to host the Cincinnati Bengals at 3:25 p.m. Central time, a game that will be broadcast on CBS and ABC.

While the Chiefs are frustrated with the way they’re playing, the Raiders dominated Kansas City last week. The Chiefs may not have helped their cause, but Las Vegas is right for taking offense to Travis Kelce’s comments.
