The Baltimore Ravens had a hard-fought first half against the Houston Texans during their Divisional Round matchup over the weekend. But, a game that was tied at halftime turned into a blowout in the second half as Baltimore asserted their dominance.

A 10-10 halftime score ended up being a 34-10 victory for the Ravens, who had a monster second half. They stifled the young Texans’ offense while eventual MVP, Lamar Jackson, got their offense going.

Jackson was excellent, scoring four total touchdowns with 252 total yards. Houston had no answers for the dynamic dual-threat, who will be leading his Ravens into an AFC Championship Game matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

NFL NEWS & RUMORS: Troy Franklin, 2024 NFL Draft, Baltimore Ravens Updates

This is the closest Baltimore has gotten to a Super Bowl appearance since they won the Lombardi Trophy in 2012. According to projections, the Ravens are the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season.

We will find out whether or not those projections are right in a few weeks. With one of the strongest rosters from top to bottom in the NFL, it will be interesting to see what kind of moves the front office looks to make in the offseason to solidify this unit.

Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network believes that the team will continue looking to upgrade the weapon around Jackson on offense. With their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Jeremiah believes Baltimore will select wide receiver Troy Franklin out of Oregon.

“Franklin is ultra explosive. He would be another weapon for Lamar Jackson, further strengthening an underrated receiver room,” Jeremiah wrote.

2023 first-round pick Zay Flowers panned out well for the Ravens, as he had a strong rookie season with 77 receptions for 858 yards and five touchdowns. But, listed at only 5’9”, there are some limitations to how Flowers can be deployed offensively.

Those problems could be erased by Fraklin, who stands 6’3” and would add some size to a Ravens’ wide receiver group that has Nelson Agholor and Rashod Bateman as the only players listed at least 6 feet or taller.

With an NFL comp of Chris Olave, Franklin would help take this offense to another level. With his explosiveness, he could open things up for the team and provide the Ravens with a big-play threat down the field.
