The Seattle Seahawks are always looking to improve their offense around superstar quarterback Russell Wilson. They have made moves to bring in guys like Josh Gordon, but that didn’t pay off. AJ Green could be another wide receiver the Seahawks try to bring in.

Green is set to hit the free agency market after an impressive career with the Cincinnati Bengals. He could still end up returning to Cincinnati, but that seems very unlikely at this point in time.

One NFL scout, who asked to remain anonymous, thinks that the Seahawks could look into the option of signing Green this offseason.

“AJ Green is going to have a market, although it won’t be a huge market. One team I think will be in the mix is the Seahawks. They want another weapon for (Russell) Wilson and Green is a cheaper option that could make a huge impact in the right situation.”

Last season with the Bengals, Green struggled to get into the game plan consistently. There was obvious frustration throughout the year from him. He ended the year with 47 passes for 523 yards and two touchdowns.

Obviously, those numbers were not what Green was hoping to put up. He may be past his prime at 32 years old, but he is capable of more than that.

Joining a contender like the Seahawks would make a lot of sense for AJ Green. He would be getting a fresh start with a team that could utilize him much more consistently than the Bengals. Cincinnati is in rebuild mode and Tyler Boyd is the new No. 1 wideout with Tee Higgins taking over as No. 2.

Granted, the Seahawks may choose to go a different route. There is no guarantee that Green can come in and make a major impact. However, if the price is right, he would be worth the risk.

It will be interesting to see what the market ends up being for Green. Other teams who could have interest include the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts. But, the Seahawks could be the most logical landing spot.

Expect to hear quite a few rumors about AJ Green this offseason. He is looking for a place to play the final chapter of his career and Seattle might be the destination.
