3. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR
The Steelers did draft Chase Claypool from Notre Dame in the second round of the 2020 draft, but could still use a boost at WR behind JuJu Smith-Schuster. MVS from Green Bay might help fill that boost. The Packers already have Davante Adams, Devin Funchess, Allen Lazard and Equanimeous St. Brown, another Notre Dame alum.
Along with two young tight ends alongside Mercedes Lewis and a stacked backfield of Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Tyler Ervin and now A.J. Dillon, one of the Packers’ Wide Receivers will most likely be left out this year. It might very well be MVS, who could be a perfect trade candidate and a great fit for the Steelers.
MVS and Equanimeous St. Brown are both expected to impress this year for the Packers, and part of the reason why the team didn’t draft a receiver in the first round, which is what a lot of fans wanted them to do. If both receivers under-perform or suffer from injuries again, the Packers might regret not drafting someone.
