Like the Green Bay Packers, the Pittsburgh Steelers also drafted a running back in the 2020 NFL Draft. For reference, Anthony McFarland was selected in the fifth-round out of the University of Maryland.

Now, there have been plenty of great running backs that have come out of the fifth-round like Alvin Kamara, Tevin Coleman, Chris Johnson, and Corey Dillon. However, that doesn’t mean McFarland will be ready to back up James Conner right away.

Much like the wide receiver position, the Packers are stacked at running back and might be willing to move someone. Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams both have one more year left, and if Jones has another monster season in 2020, the Packers will for sure try to keep him around.

Will the Packers be able to afford him and Kenny Clark? Who knows, but that doesn’t leave a lot of cap room for Jamaal Williams and Green Bay might want something for him before he hits free agency.
