Tyreek Hill has only spent two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, but he is already looking forward to potentially making South Beach his forever NFL home.

If it’s possible, of course.

During a recent appearance on the Around the Bar podcast, Hill spoke about his future with the Dolphins, and while he remains hopeful, he also understands the business side of things.

“I love Miami. I love every bit of it,” Hill said. “My wife loves it, my kids love it, my mom loves it. It’s just a beautiful city to live in, man. There’s so much stuff to do. I would like to retire in Miami, but we all know how the NFL is, how jobs go, and people getting promotions over here, and — you know — we understand that.”

Hill is under contract through 2026, so he doesn’t have to worry about hitting free agency for quite some time. But with Hill now being 30 years old, anything can happen.

The superstar wide receiver is simply hoping for the best.

“But Miami is a great city, man,” he added. “I love the team I play on, love the guys in the locker room, love the head coach, love the GM. So that means sign me. I love all you guys so much, I want to stay in Miami forever, man. Keep me there.”

The Dolphins initially acquired Hill in a blockbuster trade with the Kansas City Chiefs in March 2022.

Hill was already a dynamic playmaker in Kansas City, but he has taken his game to another level in Miami. He hauled in 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns during his debut campaign with the club, and this past season, Hill led the league in both receiving yards (1,799) and receiving scores (13) while catching another 119 passes.

The Douglas, Ga. native, who played his collegiate football at West Alabama, was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Hill has made the Pro Bowl in all eight of his NFL seasons and has also earned First-Team All-Pro honors five times. He won a Super Bowl with Kansas City during the 2019-20 campaign.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Dolphins probably don’t plan on letting Tyreek Hill go anytime soon.
