The Vikings lost Trae Waynes, Xavier Rhodes, and Mackensie Alexander this offseason. They were not very productive in 2019 so the Vikings will feature a new secondary. They drafted Jeff Gladney in the first round of the draft and Cam Dantzler in the third.

Heading into this matchup against the Packers, t is important to slow down Davante Adams. The Packers do not have depth after Adams on the depth chart. If he is a non factor, the Packers could struggle throwing the football. This is where Hughes comes into play.

The Vikings will throw some different defenders and possibly some double teams at Adams, but it will be Hughes on him for most of the afternoon.

Green Bay did not do much to improve their receiving corps outside of Adams. Taking him out of the game will make players like Allen Lazard or Jace Sternberger to beat them from a pass catching aspect. Hughes will need to step up and stick to Adams in this one.
