2 huge reasons the Bears should sign Greg Olsen in free agency

Following the regime change, the Carolina Panthers and Greg Olsen thought it was best that both sides part ways. As long as Olsen has the urge to play in 2020, the Chicago Bears should gauge his interest in signing with them.

Last season, the Bears were a well-oiled machine on offense in the first year under Matt Nagy. Mitchell Trubisky played decent enough under center and he was surrounded by a variety of weapons.

Chicago would conclude the 2018 season with a 12-4 record, but would ultimately fall short in the playoffs to the Philadelphia Eagles. A double-doink field-goal miss by Cody Parkey that was blocked caused heartbreak for the Chicago faithful.

Nevertheless, hopes were high heading into 2019 and the Bears had their sights on improving upon the 2018 campaign. However, Trubisky regressed and the offense wasn’t nearly as effective as it was a season ago.

To get back to where they were in 2018, Chicago could use an experienced pass-catcher in the offense. In light of that, here are two huge reasons why the Bears should sign Olsen in free agency this offseason.
