K.J. Hamler, Wide Receiver, Penn State

Speaking of the wide receiver position, the Packers need more speed. That was their main issue last season. Green Bay didn’t have a speedy slot receiver who could make plays in the open field and be a deep threat at times.

While K.J. Hamler isn’t projected to go into the middle or late stages of the second round in most mock drafts, the Packers could go with him at No. 30. He caught 56 passes for 904 yards and eight touchdowns last season with the Nittany Lions and would provide pure speed to the offense.

At 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, Hamler doesn’t bring much size. However, the Packers signed a ton of size in Devin Funchess. Aaron Rodgers needs a fast and lethal playmaker at wide receiver and that could lead to taking Hamler with the Packers’ first-round pick.
