The San Francisco 49ers have been steamrolling through opponents in the first month of the 2023 season. They are one of two undefeated teams remaining, along with the Philadelphia Eagles, heading into Week 5.

The 49ers haven’t faced too much resistance yet this season as they have won every game by at least a touchdown. All by their Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, who kicked a field goal as time expired, have been won by double-digits.

A big reason for that has been the efficiency of their offense. San Francisco has scored 30+ points in all four games to start the season. They rank third in points scored and second in yardage gained thus far this season.

One of the major contributors to that has been wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Despite missing Week 3 against the New York Giants, he is tied for second, with Deebo Samuel, hauling in 17 passes on the season. Only running back Christian McCaffrey has more with 18.

Aiyuk does lead the 49ers with 320 yards and two receptions, regularly turning his receptions into big plays for the offense. As pointed out by PFF, something good occurs whenever Aiyuk makes a reception. All 17 of his catches have gone for a first down or a touchdown.

That is quite an impressive feat. Whenever Brock Purdy throws Aiyuk the ball, he is making the most of it and helping the offense keep the drive alive or putting up points. On track to set career highs across the board, the 2020 first-round pick out of Arizona State is setting himself up for quite a payday.

The 49ers will certainly need that level of performance to continue in Week 5. They are set for a huge matchup at home against the Dallas Cowboys, who are 3-1 and looking to prove that they should be discussed among the elite in the NFC as well.
