1 Trade Idea To Send Bears’ Yannick Ngakoue To Philadelphia Eagles

After a disappointing loss to the New York Jets in Week 6, the Philadelphia Eagles got back on track in Week 7. In a primetime matchup with the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia came away with a convincing 31-17 victory.

The Eagles are one of the elite teams in the NFL and only solidified that standing with the moves they have made in the last week. Julio Jones was signed to bolster the depth at wide receiver and earlier this week they pulled off a blockbuster trade, acquiring safety Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans.

Finding a weakness on their roster currently is easier said than done. The Eagles are strong from top to bottom on both sides of the ball after their latest additions. But, if the opportunity presents itself to add more talent ahead of the October 31st deadline, they will certainly consider it.

One player who could pique their interest is Yannick Ngakoue of the Chicago Bears. The Bears are near the bottom of the NFC with a 2-5 record and could look to flip some of their veterans for draft capital and more assets. If Ngakoue is available, Dallas Robinson of Pro Football Network believes the Eagles could make a move for him.

“Robert Quinn didn’t do much for Philadelphia last season, but maybe Yannick Ngakoue can give the Eagles a midseason boost. Haason Reddick and Josh Sweat are stars for Philly, but the club probably wants to ensure the 35-year-old Brandon Graham doesn’t play too many snaps down the stretch.

Ngakoue is a pure sack artist who struggles in run defense. But he could be a valuable addition for the Eagles if deployed correctly.”

What could a trade between Philadelphia and Chicago look like? Robinson suggested the Eagles send a 2025 sixth-round pick to Chicago in exchange for Ngakoue and a 2025 seventh-round pick.

While adding a pass rusher isn’t a pressing need for the Eagles, they could be motivated to make a deal for Ngakoue to ensure one of their rivals doesn’t land him. It was the same line of thinking last year when they came together with the Bears on a trade centered around Robert Quinn.

Ngakoue has had at least 8.0 sacks in each of his seven seasons in the NFL. Changing scenery is nothing new to him as he has played on six different franchises in the last five seasons.
