2 Denver Broncos Stars Have Murky Future With The Team

The Denver Broncos will have a lot of decisions to make this offseason, and next year, their roster could look a whole lot different than it did in 2023.

Two of the players the Broncos may end up jettisoning are wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.

Both Sutton and Jeudy are under contract in Denver, with Sutton’s deal expiring after 2025 and Jeudy hitting free agency next spring.

However, that does not necessarily mean that both wide outs will begin the 2024 campaign with the Broncos.

Mike Klis of 9 News says that Denver is expected to move one of Sutton or Jeudy this offseason, which does not come as much of a surprise given all of the trade chatter that surrounded both players back at the trade deadline in October.

Sutton is probably the more valuable commodity at this point, as he is coming off of a solid season in which he caught 59 passes for 772 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The 28-year-old appeared to be one of the top up and coming receivers in the NFL after hauling in 72 receptions for 1,112 yards and six scores, but the following year, he tore his ACL the first game of the season. He hasn’t been the same since.

Meanwhile, Jeudy has been a disappointment since being taken with the 15th overall pick back in 2020. He has yet to log a 1,000-yard campaign, and this past season, he snared 54 balls for 758 yards and a pair of scores.

We’ll see if the Broncos entertain trade offers for Sutton and Jeudy again this offseason. Chances are, they will, and this time, they may actually end up pulling the trigger.
