The Dallas Cowboys reportedly made a contract offer to Dak Prescott around the start of last season, but he didn’t bite. Instead choosing to play out the final year of his rookie deal, all he did was have the most productive year of his career (4,902 yards, 30 TD, 11 INT).
The Cowboys have paid everyone else, but they’ve drawn the line at Prescott on the idea there’s off-field value in being their quarterback. Prescott has not played the game, and he’ll play this year on the franchise tag for $31.4 million. Next year the price of a second franchise tag will be $37.68 million, and the Cowboys may find that prohibitive.
Prescott could very well hit the open market next March, and there will be plenty of suitors. But here are three reasons the New Orleans Saints could be the ideal landing spot for him.
