3 cornerbacks the Falcons could target at No. 16 in the 2020 NFL Draft

C.J. Henderson

Last but not least, C.J. Henderson should be the cornerback that the Falcons have their sights set on. Coming out of Florida, Henderson is a polished cornerback that gradually improved in college.

In his first two seasons at Florida, Henderson combined for 60 tackles, nine pass breakups, and six interceptions. Despite not having an interception in 2019, Henderson displayed a skill set that should make it easy for him to transition to the NFL.

At 6-foot-1, 204 pounds, Henderson is the prototypical size for a corner in the NFL and has long arms that help him make plays on the ball. Even though he mostly played off-ball in man coverage, he is able to mirror opposing wide receivers, giving himself a chance to succeed on just about every play.

Although he struggled as a tackler in 2019, Henderson proved earlier in his collegiate career that he isn’t afraid to contribute against the run. In the event that Henderson is still available at the 16th pick, the Falcons can’t afford to pass on him.
