Earns an All-Pro Nomination
It’s never easy for any player to earn one of the few spots on either annual NFL All-Pro Team. There are some positions that are especially competitive and one of those appears primed to be the running back spot in 2020 with Ezekiel Elliott at least being in the mix.
The only time Elliott has managed to be named First Team All-Pro in his career was during the 2016 season. Meanwhile, the sole Second Team All-Pro nomination he earned occurred in 2018.
The contract holdout Elliott underwent last year may uniquely prepare him for unique offseason circumstances more than most NFL players heading into next season. He held his own offseason program and still produced at a very high-level in 2019.
When considering the circumstances, Elliott seems primed to earn one of the two All-Pro spots for the running back position. He will need to beat out the likes of either McCaffrey or Henry to get it done though.
