3 early bold predictions for Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey in 2020

Will Lead the NFL in Scrimmage Yards Again

The impact Christian McCaffrey provided the Panthers last season was nothing short of spectacular. By totaling 2,392 yards from scrimmage, he led the NFL in this category and it wasn’t close.

The next other names on the NFL’s leaderboard for total yards from scrimmage included the likes of Ezekiel Elliott (1,777), Nick Chubb (1,772), Derrick Henry (1,746), and Michael Thomas (1,716). However, they trailed McCaffrey by over 600 yards.

Something to take into consideration is the sheer volume of touches McCaffrey received from the Panthers last season. He totaled a league-most 403 touches while Elliot (355) ranked second in total touches last season and still trailed by a total of 48 touches.

Considering how his volume of touches will likely continue to be incredibly high, McCaffrey will lead the league in total yards from scrimmage yet again in 2020.
