3 early bold predictions for Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey in 2020

Reach at Least 18 Combined Touchdowns

The Panthers relied heavily on Christian McCaffrey’s ability to get into the end-zone, whether it was using the running game or as a receiver out of the backfield. There is little reason to expect that to change in 2020.

McCaffrey ended up totaling 19 combined touchdowns in 2019. He tied Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones for the most total touchdowns. The only other player that was close behind them was Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry with 18 touchdowns.

It’s no guarantee that McCaffrey is going to manage to exceed his 2019 total for touchdowns considering how lofty of a figure it would be to achieve. What’s most important for the Panthers is he manages to come close to matching his production again.

During the upcoming season, McCaffrey will manage to combine for 18 total touchdowns between rushing and receiving. Most of them will continue to come from the ground game, too.
