Will Lead the NFL in Rushing Yards Per Game
The results Derrick Henry achieved with his rushing attempts was truly impressive. One area where he truly thrived was in the yardage he achieved as his total of 1,540 rushing yards was the most by a single player during the 2019 season.
The average output Henry posted in the rushing yards department was truly impressive. When compared to the rest of the NFL, he was joined by only Nick Chubb in averaging over 90.0 rushing yards per game. However, he was in a class of his own exceeding the 100.0-yard mark.
With Henry providing such a strong impact from a yardage perspective, the Titans naturally found themselves being an elite team in this category. Their total of 2,223 rushing yards trailed only the San Francisco 49ers (2,305) and Baltimore Ravens (3,296) in 2019.
Since it’s impossible to predict potential injuries, Henry will at least continue to be the NFL leader in rushing yards per game. That will translate to the highest volume if he doesn’t go down with some sort of injury that forces him to be sidelined.
