3 Early Expectations For Tua Tagovailoa With The Dolphins in 2020

If Tua Tagovailoa is the starter in Week One and can manage to stay healthy, there’s no reason he cannot account for over 25 total touchdowns. While not the scrambler that Jalen Hurts is, Tua will find himself in a few goalline situations.

Last season, Fitzpatrick led the Dolphins in rushing. This offseason, the Dolphins grabbed Matt Breida from the San Francisco 49ers who should get plenty of action out the backfield. Tagovailoa will touch the ball when needed and will be a welcome sight in the Red Zone.

While rushing will part a small part of his success, Tagovailoa has the arm to get the ball downfield. His last season at Alabama, Tua averaged 11.3 yards per attempt while Fitzpatrick averaged 7.3. This bodes well for players like Albert Wilson and DeVante Parker.
