Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens

The choice Peter Schrager made was Marquise Brown of the Baltimore Ravens. In his explanation, Brandt mentioned his belief that Lamar Jackson will take another step forward in 2020 and that Brown will naturally benefit from the reigning NFL MVP’s continued ascension.

During the 2019 season, Brown racked up 46 catches for 584 yards and seven touchdowns and that’s certainly impressive for a rookie. It’s worth noting, he appeared in fewer than 60 percent of the Ravens’ offensive snaps in eight of his 14 appearances.

As noted by Brandt, Brown was phenomenal during the Ravens’ loss to the Tennessee Titans in the playoffs and showcased significant potential. He was targeted 11 times resulting in seven receptions and 126 yards.

As a full-time starter with expanded involvement in the Ravens’ offense, it’s easy to see why Brown is viewed as a potential breakout candidate. His production will naturally experience a boost and it will be fascinating to see the extent to which that occurs.
