The Las Vegas Raiders are entering the 2020 NFL season with hopes of contending for a Wild Card spot in the playoffs. After showing major signs of progression last season, they are absolutely primed to take another step forward after a successful offseason. Of course, all of that will start with quarterback Derek Carr.
Carr has been struggling over the last couple of seasons. However, just a few short years ago, the Raiders were watching him become one of the top up-and-coming quarterbacks in the game.
During the 2019 season, Carr put together a solid all-around year. He completed 70.4 percent of his pass attempts for 4,054 yards, 21 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Obviously, the touchdown number is a bit low, but the other production is very solid.
Add in the fact that the Raiders brought in wide receiver Henry Ruggs III in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and he should make a major impact. Ruggs, along with Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller give Carr the kind of weapons that could lead to a very big season.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three numbers the Raiders should be expecting from Derek Carr this season.
