3 steps to a perfect offseason for the Green Bay Packers

1. Acquire Odell Beckham Jr. Or Sign A.J. Green

Here is where the Packers must shoot for the stars this offseason. Davante Adams is a star wide receiver and no one will deny that. However, Green Bay cannot continue to rely on him as much as they have been.

In 2019, the Packers had Adams as their clear No. 1, but they had no one to take pressure off of him. Allen Lazard ended up being the No. 2 option, but that isn’t going to cut it. Green Bay has to bring in an impact wide receiver this offseason.

Rumors have been swirling that the Packers could look to acquire superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the Cleveland Browns. That would be a perfect option, even with the antics that he brings. Perhaps a change of scenery to one of the most storied franchises in NFL history would be what he needs.

On the other hand, if they can’t acquire Beckham, they need to aggressively pursue A.J. Green in free agency. Green could end up back with the Cincinnati Bengals, but if he were to leave, the Packers would make perfect sense.

Gutekunst has his work cut out for him, but acquiring a star wide receiver for Rodgers should be high on the priority list.
