New England Patriots

Of all the teams who could potentially draft Tua Tagovailoa, the New England Patriots present the most excitement by far. He seems like a perfect fit in New England’s ‘do your job’ culture.

Playing under Nick Saban for his entire collegiate career, a Bill Belichick disciple, Tua already has a feel for how New England’s locker room is run. He would also fit well in Josh McDaniel’s offensive system, which relies heavily on the run and quick timing patterns in the passing game.

Tua’s accuracy along with his pocket mobility would add a new dimension to the Patriots offense that we haven’t seen before. Belichick has never been one to trade a handful of picks to move up and snag someone in the draft, but if he truly wants to keep the Patriot way going, he may need to make an exception this time.
