4 bold predictions for the 49ers in Week 3 against the Giants

As the San Francisco 49ers prepare for their Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants, they are facing a mounting pile of injuries. In Week 2, the 49ers lost Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas on their defensive line to torn ACL’s. Jimmy Garoppolo went down with a high ankle sprain and could miss some time as well.

In addition to those injuries, the 49ers also saw running back Tevin Coleman, running back Raheem Mostert, and defensive end Dee Ford injured. Jason Verrett and George Kittle were already dealing with their own injury issues.

To say that the 49ers could be in some trouble would be an understatement. It is very difficult to compete for a Super Bowl with the amount of key injuries the team has suffered, especially on the defensive front in Bosa and Thomas.

However, the season does not stop and the 49ers will have to figure out how to play with those injuries. They still have a lot of talent on the roster and could be a threat in the NFC. Kyle Shanahan will have his work cut out for him.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at four bold predictions for the 49ers this week as they take on the Giants.
