The San Francisco 49ers were the biggest surprise from the 2019 NFL season. After coming into the season as a team expected to take a step forward, but not viewed as a Super Bowl contender, the 49ers dominated the NFC and made a run to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, they ended up losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now, looking ahead to the upcoming 2020 NFL season, there are quite a few reasons for fans in San Francisco to remain excited.

Kyle Shanahan and company have created a lethal offense and the team has one of the NFL’s most feared defenses. There are very few weaknesses for opponents to exploit on either side of the ball. The 49ers are without question one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the league once again.

Despite the rumors of the 49ers pursuing Tom Brady, the 49ers chose to run it back once again with Jimmy Garoppolo. They have a great run scheme and Nick Bosa, Richard Sherman, and the defense don’t give up much.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at four early reasons the 49ers will win the NFC West division title once again in 2020.
